Top 20 Spring/Summer 2009 Campaign

I know this is late but between being sick and being buried with other projects my top 20 spring/summer campaign list took a long time to finish. Iconic models are still staring major campaign; Christy Turlington for Escada and Bally, Kate Moss for Versace, Shalom Harlow & Eva Herzagova for H&M just to name a few. I think with the economy fashion and luxury brands amping up the creativity and glamour to entice shoppers. There are a lot of beautiful spring/summer campaigns right now. The luxury industry continues to bank their large amount of forces in attracting the coveted Asian markets. So it is great to see that there is an increase Asian models presence in fashion shows, editorials and campaigns. Also I heard to some bookers that there are getting a lot of request for Asian models. There are still long way to go to see more diversity but this is heading to the right direction. So here are some of the top Asian male models right now: DAE NA Dae Na is a South Korea male model, who appeared in campaign such as Polaroid Eyewear S/S 2013, Donna Karan, Diesel, Benetton, and booking shows such Salvatore Ferragamo, Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown, Ermano Scervino, John Richmond, Frankie Morello, Moschino,and Calvin Klein to name the few.

History of Men's Swimwear

Just as women's suits have undergone a gradual evolution process, men's swim wear has undergone many changes since its inception. Designed from the beginning to be markedly different from the female's suit, the male swimsuit's characteristics of boxiness and solidity contrasted with the female's exaggerated curves. In other words, the gender properties of the suits were clearly defined. During the 1880's, men's styles stuck close to the traditional skivvies. Improvements were made gradually. The first prototypes of the first "modern" swim trunks were cumbersome and made the action of swimming itself more difficult. The first Jantzen suit weighed 9 lb. when fully soaked, making them extremely heavy in water. They also had the unfortunate tendency of slipping down! Modesty was an issue well into the 1920's.
