ART INSPIRATION - ERNEST CONCEPTION

New York based Filipino artist Ernest Conception has been producing these fascinating works that combines combine cinematic landscape, anime, pop culture and Filipino kitsch references. His works usually a spontaneous reaction of contemporary artist to old classical art.

He was already an established large conceptual artist in Philippines when he moved to NY in 2002. He explored illustrations and paintings out of frustration from not having a big space to work on. Since then he exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, d.u.m.b.o. arts center, Asian American Arts Centre, The Contemporary Museum in Hawaii, The Queens Museum of NY, The Krannert Museum in Illinois, Exit Art, Pulse Art Fair in Miami and numerous galleries in the Philippines.
