Fashion newest rising star French designer Alexis Mabille, was first got a great recognition on his imaginative renditions of the bow tie. He currently has a label called Impasse 13, a unisex ready-to-wear collection, featuring ribbons and bows appliquéd on narrow pants, with new couture pieces.

Impasse 13 mission is to prove that the same jackets, trousers and shirts can work just as well for girls as for boys. On one of his interviews, he admitted that, of all his muses, he himself remains the most important. "I create things that go well with me," he says. "When I started to do my mixed collection it was because I couldn't find clothes that I liked. My collection is full of clothes that I myself would like to wear." He designs majors in unisex classics.

He worked for nine years at Dior accessories under John Galliano and Heidi Slimane. As a young boy in Lyon, France, Mabille discovered fashion while investigating family attics and museums, creating accessories from re-cut and sewn lace and petticoats. Later, the teenage Alexis developed his passion, creating costumes for theater and parties. In 1995-1997 he graduated from the prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. In 2005 he launched Impasse 13, a unisex clothing collection, and Treizor, an accessories line specializing in bow ties and in 2008 he made his official debut at Paris haute couture week.

For his Spring/Summer 2009 collection he continued his idea of androgynous clothing. Witty bow, peacock-feather brooches, piqué shirt bib, slim fitted cardigans on wide-leg pants or narrow satin pants, military jackets, big sat, pea coat, frou-frou flower vest.
For his Fall/Winter 2008 he based his entire collection on unconventional characters of an imaginary mixed art school. He tinkered with tuxedo and military motifs. He offered school boy uniforms, piqué shirt bib, short jacket on wide-leg pants, Prince of Wales trousers and a see-thru embroidered shirt and pants for evening.
