Happy New Year every one!!! I was thinking of the doing a top 10 list of 2008 but it seemed like a lot of work. My lazy ass is on my holiday mode. Not to mention I couldn’t even remember last month for was, much more the entire year.
I don’t have any New Year resolution too. Not that I think I’m perfect but I just can’t be bothered. Whatever I could come up I know I’m going to break them anyway after two months.
But what I want though is to wish that 2009 will be a better year than 2008 for all of us despite the gloomy prediction of the media. I hope the effect of recession would not be too harsh for a lot of people and I hope it get fix fast next year. And of course I wish for world peace too. (Good lord I sound like beauty pageant contestant.)
Just in case you still haven’t gotten any calendar here is the list of my favourite calendars for 2009.
LIVING CALENDAR CONCEPT 2009
The Living Concept 2009 was created specially for project newave.com.ua. The new Living Concept 2009 is a revolutionary way in looking for dates. What separates this calendar from your traditional fair is the ability to show weeks, months, holidays, and time all at a glance. Yes, just by single glance at it can inform you about the weeks, months, holidays as well as time in a cool way!
A large hand shows a current day (and month too), thus doing a complete turn during 365 days. A little hand shows the current day of week (and current hour) and accordingly does a complete turn for 7 days. It seems totally overwhelming to try and read everything together but that’s only half the story. If you want this calendar it would cost you $94,950.
Maksim Biriukov is the brain behind this concept, who has designed the calendar under the Newwave project. The Living Concept 2009 displays holidays, time and the date in a rotary format. There is a large hand in the mechanical calendar that indicates the current date and month, ready to make a complete turn after 365 days. Similarly, the smaller hand points at the current day of the week and the hour, all set to make a turn after completing 7 days.
The best part is that this futuristic calendar even highlights public holidays, religious events and other important days. Then there is the whole fun of experiencing this cool concept.

Alkaline pH paper has a neutral pH referred as acid free.** The paper is buffered with calcium carbonate for stabilizing the alkaline level. That protects it from discoloration and deterioration over time.
Calendreco was designed by Dessi Ivanova. Dessi's philosophy is “as smart and simple as possible." Innovative approach and minimalistic style are at the core of her modern and sophisticated works.

It is known for it unabashedly celebration of the male form and has over the years gain a reputation of developing into more and more of an art form in photography. PIRELLI CALENDAR 2009
The 2009 edition of the Pirelli Calendar, cult object for more than forty years among connoisseurs of photography, beauty and cultural evolution, was unveiled in a world premiere in Berlin. The setting for the 36th “Cal” is the landscape of Botswana, where famed photographer Peter Beard spent ten days immortalizing seven internationally renowned models. Beard, who lived in Kenya for thirty years, is one of the world’s greatest interpreters of the mystery and charm of Africa. The final result is a calendar/diary that Peter Beard describes as “a living sculpture”. Peter Beard has chosen an authentic and ancestral land that is born of the interpenetration of two different worlds: the aquatic oasis of the Okavango River delta and the arid expanse of the Kalahari Desert. A place that has been spared both the exploitation of the land and the impoverishment of its resources, the ideal setting for the photographer’s representation of nature as a metaphysical entity, always in motion, source of infinite creativity, within whose rhythms and laws everything must begin and end.
