ASIA FASHION EXCHANGE 2012

Top international designers, fashion icons, Asian supermodels, geared up for five days of high-octane glamour and fashion at this year's Audi Fashion Festival. There were a lot of newest crop of Asian and international talent, from Paris, New York, Australia, Seoul, Bangkok and Berlin  arrived in Singapore. 

AFX aims to position Singapore as Asia’s leading fashion hub, and is made up of four pillar events. These are BLUEPRINT, a trade show that positions itself as the fashion trade gateway to Asia which creates business opportunities between international  buyers and  promising design players; Asia Fashion Summit, a premier business conference that generates thought leadership content and insights on fashion topics for industry professionals; Audi Fashion Festival Singapore, a showcase of world-class collections by top and emerging designers and labels, both international and Asian; and Audi Star Creation, a regional fashion design competition to spot budding talent. 

Audi Fashion Festival, part of Asia Fashion Exchange which took placed on May 14-20, was a showcase of world-class collections by top and emerging designers and labels, both international and Asian.

STAR CREATION EVENT, wherein fashion designers from 7 countries showcased their collection. The 12 aspiring fashion stars faced off on the runway at Audi Star Creation 2012.  The strongest showing this year came from South Korea, which produced four finalists. Singapore and Malaysia have two finalists each, and China, Indonesia, Japan and Thailand complete the seven countries that were represented at the finals.

I love this! Here is the short fashion film from PRADA directed by Roman Polanski titled "A Therapy". Helena Bonham Carter plays a Prada-clad patient who has a "daddy-issue" but her psychiatrist (the Sir Ben Kingsley) got lost from looking at her fur-lined coat.

The film reminds me of, the probably one of the most fascinating, minimalist, and critically claimed film " My Dinner With Andre".
