PLUS (*) TEMPORARY INSTALLATION IN MILAN

Two prestigious Italian brands that have been operating for years in the retail sector have come together to create PLUS a temporary installation which will dress Atelier ABC in 5 Corso Como, Milan, starting from the Salone del Mobile 2012.

PLUS combines the alluring shapes of the ABC Mannequins with the spatial creativity of the ALU display systems; two complementary product types which together are capable of animating and dynamically defining display areas.

Inspired by the concept of Linear Rhythm, the installation designed by ALU’s Creative Team proposes a harmonious sequence formed by Autopole and Slash, which interact and converse with the sinuous and elegant lines of Ophelia, ABC’s latest creation.

The aim is to involve and inspire visitors, enveloping them in the creative atmosphere originating from the natural combination of the products of two companies which together are capable of expressing a new concept of visual merchandising

PHENOMENON FALL/WINTER 2012-2013

Here's Japanese designer Takeshi Osumi of the label PHENOMENON fall/winter 2012-2013 collection. It's interesting how Takeshi used jacquard into tailored pieces and paired them with denim.  There were also a lot of tweeds and corduroys.

ART: TOMOYOSI SAKAMOTO

I’m currently fascinated with the up and coming Japanese artist Yoshimoto Sakamoto. Sakamoto who graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts is part of a new generation of Japanese artists that carries style of J Pop artists from the 90s. Sakamoto’s work can be described as a post-manga form of expression. For me Sakamoto’s images make me wonder if they intended to capture pure innocence or ironic jab on society.

Sakamoto’s usually shows at ARTLAB in Tokyo.
