Eduardo Verastequi - Dream Come True

People En Espanols “50 Most Beautiful People” Eduardo Verastegui showed the most talked about independent film “Bella” that he stared and co produced at this year prestigious Toronto Film Festival.

“Bella” a heartwarming story about friendship, family and finding love unexpectedly. The film main subject of regaining lost faith is so relevant to Eduardo’s in real life. He suffered two career disappointments after a big start. After a very successful career in a Latin pop group “Kairo” he didn’t find the same fate when he went solo. He found out that the music industry had typecast him as a “boy-band” singer.

When He moved to Miami he landed a sexy part in Jennifer Lopez’ video “Ain’t It Funny” directed by Herb Ritts. He got a lot of attention from the video and acting offers began pouring in. Unfortunately for him, he was typecast again as playboy or criminal.

After twelve years of a stagnant career Eduardo Verastegui decided to take matters into his own hands. Turning to his old friends’ Mexican director Alejandro Monteverde and Colombian producer Leo Severino Eduardo planned to develop a film of substance. Together they created “Bella” a film about faith and triumph of human spirit.
